When was Sweet Souls founded?
Sweet Souls was founded in November 2006 by two new moms, Jamie and Julie, who met while taking their little girls to Gymboree class in New York City. After constantly meeting other new parents and their children, they became increasingly aware that kids today have some wonderfully creative names. Sweet Souls was created based on the idea that children’s names should be celebrated. Therefore, the majority of the Sweet Souls product line, including “booties for cuties”, and the hottest must-haves such as luxurious bags for moms, fashionable apparel and functional accessories that can be personalized and customized, allowing everyone to express their individuality in style! What styles of booties do you offer?
We offer 5 elegant styles—Plain Soles, Simple Soles, Classic Soles, Couture Soles and Sweet Souls Originals. All can be customized and personalized by leather or suede shoe color, shearling or leather ankle trim color, font style and embroidery color.
For what age children are the booties available?
Our booties are made for children ages 0-3.
How much are Sweet Souls’ “booties for cuties”?
The booties range in price from $25-$40 depending upon chosen style and whether or not they’re embroidered for personalization.
Is there an additional charge to add a name or initials to the booties? Do you charge per letter?
Yes, there is small charge to personalize the booties with an embroidered name, nickname or initials. No, we do not charge per letter.
What are the benefits of soft-soled shoes?
Medical experts agree that, next to being barefoot, flexible, breathable soft-soled shoes are the best choice for infant and toddler’s feet, especially when learning to walk. Lightweight, flexible soles promote superior muscular strength while enabling children’s toes to grip the surface of the floor to improve traction and balance. Sweet Souls uses only the most supple, highest quality leather that enables children to learn to walk naturally while protecting their feet from injury from toys and other objects on the floor.
What makes Sweet Souls’ “booties for cuties” different from other soft-soled baby shoes?
Unlike other soft-soled baby shoes, Sweet Souls’ booties can be embroidered for personalization (including names, nicknames and initials) and customized by font style, thread color, shoe color and fabric (leather or suede) and ankle trim (shearling or leather). All together, Sweet Souls offers the most personalized look in soft-soled baby shoes!
Additionally, Sweet Souls prides itself on using only the highest quality cow and lamb leather that is soft, flexible, and comfy against your child’s feet. Our leather easily moulds around your baby's feet, helping them to learn to walk more naturally without restriction of movement.
What else can you tell me about Sweet Souls’ “booties for cuties”?
We’re glad you asked! Our soles are made from long-lasting, textured suede that is skid-resistant, which helps prevent your child from slipping. Our comfortable elastic ankle band ensures that the booties stay on your child’s feet while our soft leather is breathable so your child’s feet keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Are the shoes lined?
Yes, our shoes are lined with velvet-like material to keep baby’s feet extra comfy for long-lasting wear. The lining is breathable and washable.
Are Sweet Souls’ “booties for cuties” easy to put on and will they stay on my baby’s feet?
Yes, the elastic ankle band makes our booties extremely easy to put on and stay on. Just stretch the elastic wide around your baby’s feet and simply fasten the back of the booties around the ankle.
What is the best way to wash and dry the booties? What else should I know about maintaining the booties?
Sweet Souls’ booties can be machine washed in cold water, but for optimum upkeep, hand wash with mild detergent in cold water. Reshape your booties by inserting a soup spoon to round out the front of the shoes and then air dry. Since our skid-resistant suede soles may wear down with use, check them regularly and rub the sole with light sandpaper or use a wire brush to regain the suede’s texture.
Shipping & Handling
How long does it take for an order to be processed?
The time it takes to ship out your item varies greatly. If an item is in stock then it ships out immediately. Each pair of shoes is handmade and on average can take between 2-3 weeks to be delivered. Similar to our shoes all of our bags are handmade. Depending on the time of year they take between 4-7 weeks to ship. If you are choosing to have your items monogrammed this will add an additional week to your estimated ship date. Sweet Souls can not guarantee the availability of all our products. If you have ordered an item that will be delayed in shipping we will notify you via email.
Returns/Exchanges
What is the Sweet Souls return/exchange policy?
Sweet Souls does not allow exchanges or refunds on any products that have been customized or personalized as these have been exclusively designed and made for you.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your Sweet Souls products please return your new, unworn condition and in their original packaging (only non-personalized items can be returned) within 15 days, at the following address, for an exchange or full refund.
